It might seem that way! The Kansas City Chiefs have five players who played for Oklahoma, and a total of seven former Sooners are in Super Bowl 59. The Philadelphia Eagles also have two Oklahoma players, including quarterback Jalen Hurts.

For the third year in a row, Oklahoma has the most players in the Super Bowl among all FBS schools.

Kansas City’s Oklahoma players include Hollywood Brown, Creed Humphrey, Wanya Morris, Samaje Perine, and James Winchester. Philadelphia’s Lane Johnson also played for the Sooners.

Georgia Has the Second-Most Players in the Super Bowl

Georgia has six players in the Super Bowl, with five on the Eagles’ defense: Jalen Carter, Lewis Cine, Jordan Davis, Kelee Ringo, and Nolan Smith Jr. Kansas City’s Malik Herring also played for Georgia.

Alabama and Florida each have four players in the Super Bowl. Other schools with three players include Clemson, Florida State, Memphis, Michigan, Penn State, Stanford, and Texas. Ohio State and Notre Dame, who played in the College Football Playoff championship, each have only one player in the Super Bowl.
