The Warriors are not pushing to trade for Jimmy Butler. Reports say Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr are worried he may not fit well with the team.
The Golden State Warriors are not making a strong effort to trade for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. A basketball expert says head coach Steve Kerr and star player Stephen Curry are unsure if Butler would fit in with the team.
Kevin O’Connor said on The Kevin O’Connor Show:
“Golden State’s indecision about trading for Butler seems to be largely tied to Steph and Kerr’s worries about the personality fit there.”
Sources: Steph Curry and Steve Kerr have concerns about how Jimmy Butler would fit on the Warriors.

This makes sense because Butler has had problems with teams before. He left the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia 76ers after issues with teammates or coaches.
When he joined the Miami Heat in 2019, he seemed like a great fit. But now, he is having problems again.

This month, he was suspended three times, including for leaving practice. His wish to be traded seems to be affecting his play—he is scoring just 17 points per game, his lowest in 10 years.
The Warriors are struggling this season. They are 11th in the Western Conference with a 24-23 record.
Curry is the only player scoring more than 20 points per game. Even though they need help, O’Connor believes the team will wait for a bigger opportunity instead of trading for Butler.
“It should surprise nobody if the Warriors end up holding onto their pieces, waiting until the summer, hope Kevin Durant wants to head back to the Bay Area or some other star wants to go there, and they bypass the chance to go get Jimmy Butler,” he said.
