Ottawa Senators to Play Preseason Games in Quebec City

The Ottawa Senators announced they will play two preseason games in Quebec City this September, taking on the New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens at the Videotron Centre.

The Ottawa Senators are heading to Quebec City for part of their training camp and two preseason games next season, the team announced on Monday.

They’ll play against the New Jersey Devils on September 28 and the Montreal Canadiens on September 30, with both games happening at the Videotron Centre.

“In addition to playing two games in front of passionate fans, this short trip will allow our players to spend a few days in a beautiful city as they put the finishing touches on their preparations for a new season,” said team owner Michael Andlauer.

Quebec City has a rich hockey history. It was home to the NHL’s Quebec Nordiques from 1979 to 1995, after the team’s earlier years in the World Hockey Association from 1972 to 1979. The franchise moved to Denver in 1995 and became the Colorado Avalanche.

It’s an exciting chance for fans in Quebec City to enjoy NHL action again!
