Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill speaks on his “I’m out” comments that went viral following the 2024 season which he cites as a result of enormous frustration. What is the prognosis for the Dolphins in 2025?
Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill explains that his “I’m out” comments that went viral towards the close of last season stemmed out of annoyance after an arduous year.
Hill spoke about this during a video game stream reported by ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques.
“I’ve been victorious my whole life. Y’all do not understand the effort I put in every single day. Why should I be quiet? Why should I not state my opinion?,” Hill said expressing his frustration that had started towards the end of the past football season.
He added, “I can’t just sit back. We must come back with a strategy to defeat the competition. I want to see some fighters in this team. Call them dogs. At the end of the day, I want to compete and I want to win.”
The intense burst of emotion was sheerly directed towards the new Dolphins head coach after his dismal 8-9 season.
This can only be compared to the 32-20 thumping loss to the New York Jets in the final match of the season.
Hill claimed to reporters, “I’m out, bruh, it was amazing playing and being a part of this team, but it’s time I focus on my career.”

My Perspective of the Dolphins Last Season and Hill’s Statement
Like Hill, I too was frustrated after the performance of the Dolphins in the previous 2024 season was below par after nearly claiming the AFC No. 2 in the 2023 season.
It is no wonder Hill went on record saying, “Y’all got to fix this s–t, come on.”
Injuries were a significant concern. The quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, suffered a concussion that kept him out for over six games and a hip injury, thus preventing the offense from clicking.
As a result, the Miami team finished 22nd in scoring, which was an extreme drop from their second place finish in the previous year.
Hill’s personal numbers also took a hit. In 2024, he was able to catch 959 yards with six touchdowns, after leading the 2023 NFL season with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

Hill’s Career and Outlook
After six astonishing seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, followed by two AFC Championships and a Super Bowl title, Hill transferred to The Dolphins in 2022.
He was able to help the team reach the playoffs two times, but there was never a victory in the postseason.
Coming back from a daunting 2024 season, a Super Bowl or a competitive playoff run feels really far.
Despite everything, Hill seems to be in an optimistic mindset now. It appears that he is prepared to put in the effort to help the Dolphins return to form in 2025.
As a result of a restructured deal that amounts to $90 million, Hill remains under contract with the Miami team until 2026.
Fans trust that this season the team and Hill are able to achieve winning results.
