Matt Eberflus is Most Likely To Become Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coordinator

In what looks like a sleight-of-hand magic truck, Matt Eberflus is supposed to take the defensive coordinator position, besting the Bears’ current head coach, Matt Eberflus, who has an old record with the Bears.

Who says that football teams cannot wholesale change the direction of the offense? This new hire is a net benefit to the team’s defense.

There are rumors that Brian Schottenheimer, the recently appointed head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, is searching for the last Chicago Bears head coach, Matt Eberflus.

This position was pointed out by the new head of the Dallas Cowboys as “up for grabs.”

This comes after the defense informant Mike is believed to be pulling a ‘Mickey’ on his retirement plans, at least sear gas Werder.

Eberflus is not too green in the Dallas setup. He was with the Cowboy football club from 2011 through 2017 as a linebacker’s coach.

He also held the position of passing game manager for two years. After Dallas, he left for a tenure at the Indianapolis Colts, where he made waves as one of the most potent defensive figures in the NFL.

His time in Indianapolis helped him achieve coaching success. He ranked in the top ten in the scoring defense, run defense, and takeaways in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

However, his time as head coach for the Chicago Bears from 2022 to 2024 was less fortunate. While the Bears started off strong, standing at 4-2 in 2024, they lost six consecutive games, which led to his firing.

Despite these setbacks, Eberflus’ mastery of defense is helpful. This is now his opportunity to redeem himself, and he is doing it with the Cowboys.

He will work alongside Micah Parsons, a talented defender, which Dallas’s defense has always allowed.

The long-standing drought in the NFC Champion title has gone unmatched, which the Cowboys are working to fix.

Although the former coach, Mike McCarthy, managed to get three playoff runs, the best he achieved was the divisional round in 2022.

Even though Schottenheimer is new to head coaching, he managed to impress the Cowboys in the offensive coordinator position, which is why they hired him.

Because Eberflus is now expected to finalize a position with the Cowboys, their expectations to go deep into the playoffs have increased because their strength in defense will improve.
