The Kansas City Chiefs will wear white jerseys for Super Bowl 59 as they aim for a historic three-peat against the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 9.
The Kansas City Chiefs have revealed the jerseys they will wear for Super Bowl 59 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 9. In a hype video and a series of photos, the Chiefs showed off their white jerseys, featuring the Super Bowl 59 patch on the right side of the chest.
As the designated road team, the Chiefs will wear white for the second time in a Super Bowl since 2019. The last time they did so? Super Bowl 57, when they defeated the Eagles 38-35 on a last-minute Harrison Butker field goal.

A Winning Jersey for Mahomes?
If you’re superstitious, there’s an interesting trend with the Chiefs’ playoff losses under Patrick Mahomes.
- Every time they’ve lost in the playoffs, they wore red jerseys:
- AFC Championship losses (2018 vs. Patriots, 2021 vs. Bengals)
- Super Bowl 55 loss (2020 vs. Buccaneers)
Meanwhile, in the three Super Bowls they’ve won, they wore white (2022) or red (2019, 2023). Could this white jersey bring them luck again?

Chiefs Peaking at the Right Time
As usual, Mahomes and the Chiefs are playing their best football at the right time. They put up 30+ points for the first time this season in their AFC Championship victory over the Buffalo Bills.
The Eagles, however, will present a tough challenge, especially with their dominant run game. Saquon Barkley has already racked up 442 rushing yards, the seventh-most in a single postseason.
The Eagles’ 55-point explosion against the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game was the most ever scored in a conference title game. The last team to drop 50+ in the playoffs? The Chiefs in 2019, who went on to win the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl 59: Who Will Come Out on Top?
With history on the line, the Chiefs will try to become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the Eagles will look to avenge their Super Bowl 57 loss and reclaim the title.
We’ll see who has the answers when the Chiefs and Eagles battle for the Lombardi Trophy at Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9.
