Bill Belichick may be engaged to Jordon Hudson, as a boat name change and new reports fuel growing speculation around their relationship.
The Bill Belichick–Jordon Hudson saga just took another unexpected twist, and this time, it’s floating—literally.
In a recent Good Morning America sit-down with Michael Strahan, Belichick was asked a simple question: “Are you happy?” With a chuckle, the newly appointed North Carolina head coach replied, “Yeah.” Sounds straightforward, right? Well, maybe not.
According to The New York Times’ Katherine Rosman, Belichick and Hudson are reportedly engaged. Neither of them has confirmed or denied the report, but now a new visual clue has people raising eyebrows.
Just days after engagement buzz began circulating, TMZ Sports dropped photos of Belichick’s iconic boat. Long dubbed “Eight Rings” to honor his eight Super Bowl wins, the boat now sports a new name: “One Plus Eight Rings.”
And it’s not just a new title—it’s all in the details. TMZ reported, “Graphics on the side of the ride show eight rings now encircle the bottom of the R in the boat’s name, while another ring wraps around the upper portion of the letter.”
So what’s the deal with that extra ring?
Well, TMZ is leaning into the theory that it could represent an engagement ring—possibly for Hudson. The site also floated the idea that the revamped name and design could be a nod to Hudson’s national cheerleading title at Bridgewater State University.
Either way, fans are buzzing. Whether it’s an engagement symbol, a tribute to their shared accomplishments, or something else entirely, it’s clear the boat’s fresh look is adding another layer to the Belichick-Hudson narrative.
For now, all we know is that the name has changed, the rumors are flying, and Belichick—at least according to himself—is “happy.”
